I hope you’ve enjoyed a magical February so far.
Here in Central Texas, our winter has been quite mild, and the sun has been peeking out and warming up the beautiful earth.
The last few days have been really temperate with highs in the 70s. So, as a tribute to the early spring, I want to share a delicious smoothie with you this today.
If you’re a fan of those coffee drinks with flavorful spices, you’ll adore this healthier smoothie that’s higher in protein and lower in sugar than those iced flavored lattes.
Don’t toss cold coffee or tea! You can use them for this recipe. Store leftovers in your fridge for this great drink.
Ingredients
Serves 2
- 1 ½ cup plain kefir, coconut kefir, or coconut yogurt
- 1 ½ cup iced coffee or black tea
- 1 banana
- ¼ cup macadamia nuts or almonds
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 8 ice cubes
Method
Place the kefir, coffee or tea, banana, nuts, vanilla, cinnamon and ice cubes in a blender.
Process until smooth and divide into two glasses.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
