Mojitos are a great summer cocktail. Refreshing and light with a twist of lime and mint, they are especially cooling during these hot months of summer. So, it got me thinking- how could I create a variation of the mojito that would also support health and vastly increase my consumption of antioxidants? Enter the green smoothie. Green smoothies are a great way to pack a powerful punch in a single cup. I often recommend them to my patients as a way to get a nice mix of healthy fat, protein, and phytonutrients.
